WEEKEND WONDER WORKSHOP
available exclusively Saturday & Sunday morning at 10.30am, this fun, value packed, hour-long workshop is designed to get your weekend off to a delicious start!  Note, this workshop is aimed at families with children under the age of ten years of age.

On the factory side, you will learn to design, mould and decorate three bars of delicious organic chocolate.
In addition to the chocolate (milk, white & dark), you get to choose from FIFTY-FOUR different ingredients with which to top your bars.

After your chocolate-making session, enjoy a guided tour of our chocolate museum in which you learn about the fascinating origins of chocolate (including Spain's crucial role in its history), the surprising connection between monkeys and chocolate, the process of converting cacao into chocolate and the challenges facing the chocolate sector (and, in particular, the ethical challenges) .

Whilst the youngest (as well as any artistically-inclined, older) participants design their own chocolate box, come behind the scenes to see how we make all our own packaging in-house. Meet "Heidi" (our 90-year Heidelberg printing press), and discover our latest innovations in sustainable packaging at Mayan Monkey Mijas! 

There are fifty four different ingredients to choose from:
- Nuts: pistachio, almonds, cashews, walnuts, hazelnuts, peanuts.
- Dried Fruits: aloe vera, banana chips, cherries, strawberries, salted corn, grated coconut, coconut cubes, papaya.
- Spices: allspice, aniseed, cardamom, cinnamon, chilli, cloves, ginger, liquorice, nutmeg
- Seeds: linseed, poppy, pumpkin, sesame, sunflower
- Essential Oils: bergamot, mint, lemon, orange, eucalyptus
- Chocolate buttons & cacao nibs
- Coffee beans & matcha tea
- Andalusian sea salt & Himalayan rock salt

You will be inside the factory and museum for an hour. And then you can relax in our cafe and enjoy a drink or one of our award winning hand-made ice creams whilst the chocolate is setting and is being packaged (which takes around 15-20 minutes).

Each person gets to take home the chocolates they make, in addition to a reusable chocolate mold.  3 x 100 grams of organic chocolate with the ingredients you have chosen.

Minimum of 2 people are required and if there are any children under the age of 12 it requires a ticket holding adult (who will have an absolute fantastic time and enjoy just as much as the children).
